Things you always wanted to know about me
but were afraid to ask
(or prohibited by the law if you were a recruiter)

Every site on the World-Wide-Web provides information on a specific topic. This homepage will give you the opportunity to interactively get to know me. I hope you will have fun and find something on the next few pages that is worth coming back for.

Let me start by introducing myself.

My name is Joerg - (pronounced George) Windbichler.

I am currently working for the largest consulting company of European origin - Roland Berger & Partners.

Before that I attended the MBA program @ the University of Michigan Business School.

If you want to know about my career, please see my resume.

My home country is Austria (not to be confused with Australia, the country down under). Thus my first language is Austrian (some argue it is German, but believe me, there is a huge difference).

Here is how you can contact me:

Here are some details about myself:

Occupation: Senior Consultant with Roland Berger & Partners

Birthplace: Vienna, Austria (Lederhosen, Mozart, and Sound of Music)

Current home: Vienna, Austria

Marital status: Single

Favorite book: The Groucho Marx Letters (unfortunately it's got a lot of text and very few pictures) or was it Karl Marx's "The Capital - a history of Washington, D.C.", can't remember but either of them are very funny

Favorite movie: Pulp Fiction

Favorite actress: There is this great porn queen..., just kidding, it's of course Sandra Buttocks, ah, Bullock

Car: Racing-green BMW Z3 (another Z3)

Currently working on: living on 5 hours of sleep (I'm convinced it does not work)

I stay home for: homework (otherwise it would be called awaywork)

Most important book I still have to read: my phone book in order to trace back some old girl-friends

Favorite performers: The Marx Brothers

Favorite childhood memory: when my Dad took me to buy a toy motorcycle ($2) and we came home with a full blown car racing track ($80) (how's that for the "kid in a man"?!)

I'd give anything to meet: JFK (one hell of an architect - have you ever been to his airport? - very cool)

A really good evening to me is: cleaning my apartment, washing the dishes, and doing my laundry (I am serious because if I don't do that soon, god knows what I am going to wear or eat out of...)

The worst advice I ever got:

The one thing I can't stand:

If I could change two things about myself:

People who knew me in high school thought: What a geek - I bet he will be running a major company into the ground one day

People who know me now think: What a jerk - I bet he will be running a major company into the ground one day

My most irrational act:

My friends like me because:who?

If I've learned one thing in life it's:

My most humbling experience: case interview with McKinsey & Co. ("...how the hell did you get on our list...??" - unfortunately, this time I am not kidding)

Three words that best describe me: humble, quiet, and shy (you are not going to believe me anyway, so I might as well exaggerate)
